Wool + Iron: fiber art study No.3
Wool + Iron is an exploration of vintage materials inspired by my grandmother's collection of antique iron rests. I experimented with wrapping, stitching and crocheting brightly colored wool yarn to create a collection of one-of-a-kind wall hangings
Study No. 3:
- embellished with bright green, magenta dark teal and orange vintage wool yarn with a teal wool heart shaped felt appliqué
- finished piece measures 11 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide
- antique iron rest has a faint rusty patina due to age
- iron hanging hook and screw included
