Wool + Iron: fiber art study No.1

Wool + Iron is an exploration of vintage materials inspired by my grandmother’s collection of antique iron rests. I experimented with wrapping, stitching and crocheting brightly colored wool yarn to create a collection of one-of-a-kind wall hangings

Study No. 1:

• embellished with bright green, turquoise and pink vintage wool yarn and a wool felt ball
• finished piece measures 11" long x 4" wide
• antique iron rest has a faint rusty patina and crack due to age
• iron hanging hook and screw included
